I am looking for an office space in South Torrance. I found a very convenient mall with a coffee shop. I would like to have an open space for self employed people. I could not find any empty space there but I found a huge medical and dental building on Torrance Blvd, which is actually in the same block. I contacted the office manager and they say they have a couple of empty spots there. Basically they focus on dental and medical but they accept other business.

My friends say that I’m a picky person. If that is Yes No question, then I will agree with that. However, I feel that people usually don’t think well or don’t have their taste that much in general rather than I’m picky. For things they love or which is special to them, they tend to be picky, too. But that don’t apply to many things. It does to a few things, I guess. But in my case, it applies to various things and that’s a reason why I am told I’m picky. Here is one of those examples. Currently, I’m located in San Francisco. But I’m a client of the hair salon in New York. I really like the hair stylist at that salon. So, I always go to the salon in New York not ones in San Francisco. For some people, this might be nonsense, but for me, this has a meaning and I think it is worth going to New York though I have to pay for the air ticket. I just have more things to be particular about than others do. Sometimes it makes life harder but it suits me so well. Well, that’s my style, I guess.

I had a home party this evening. I cooked sushi rice and fish for hand roll sushi. It is not bad to be honest, the rice is not too firm and not to soft. My friend took his friend here and he is a professional sushi chef. We ate a lot of sushi and we were out of sushi rice. The sushi chef proposed us top prepare sushi rice for us. Voila, his sushi rice is much better than mine. It is subtly sweeter, moist and not too sticky. We were so surprised and he revealed his magic ingredient, Trehalose. He left me a pack of this magic power.

I heard this story before but I did not get it still. An American young man went to Europe to join the World War II. He fell in love with a French lady there in Paris and she gave him a Miraculous Medal to survive in Germany. He was shot in the forest in Germany by a German soldier. My job is is computer programmer. I can go anywhere in the world if I have an internet access. Only thing I need is silence, or at least with no heavy noise. I love music and conversation but I hate traffic noise. The worst is construction noise and vacuum noise. I went to Starbucks in Hawaii Island this morning to work but there is a construction next door. Hey, you need to use a Silent Piler from Japan!! Plus, a girl at Starbucks started floor cleaning with a vacuum!

My friend got married. I didn’t imagine that she would marry before I do. Does this sound like I’m jealous of her? Oh no, I’m not. How can I say? Well, let’s say it was very unexpected. She doesn’t care about things most girls do such as clothes, make-ups and cute things. She never showed her interest in those when other friends and I talked about it. And of course, she didn’t any interest in a marriage and a wedding either. Since I received an invitation of her wedding, I thought she changed her mind. But she was still her. She told me that she wasn’t interested in a marriage or a wedding and that her husband planned their wedding. It’s too beautiful to believe that mostly a man planned it. However, her favorite colors were used in wedding flowers and lots of decorations. So, I can tell that is her husband’s choice. He never complains and takes care of what she doesn’t do. I think he is an ideal to her and they are a nice couple. Be happier!!!

最近みた就職したい会社ベスト２０。大雑把に言うなら半分は興味あるけど、半分は興味ないなぁと言う感じ。そもそも大卒じゃないからリクルートスーツを着て、就職活動なんてものをしたことのない私がそんな偉そうなことをいうのもなんなんだけどね。でも、最近の若い子って黒のリクルートスーツが多いのね。私の時代は、紺やグレーとかも多かったのにな。黒って1番無難だから問題なくて良いのかもしれないけど、もっと個性を出した方がいいのでは？と思ってしまう。ま、そんなことで就職の合否が決まるわけではないから余計なお世話だとは思うのだけどね。リクルートスーツか、1度はきて就職活動してみたかったかな？普通にスーツを着る機会はあるけどね。
